Vera graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2008 as a remedial educationalist. After her education she started working as a therapist and diagnostician at a private practice that offers pedagogical and psychological assistance. There she worked with children, adolescents and young adults with various emotional, behavioral and learning problems. She also worked at a practical school where she supervised young people with various problems.
Her interest in neuromodulation as a supplement to regular treatment methods brought her to the neuroCare Group. Since 2010 she has been working at neuroCare Nederland as a practitioner, diagnostician and supervisor. The client focus and the specialist approach appeal to her, as does the dynamic character of the organisation and the close cooperation with the researchers at neuroCare and Brainclinics. Vera has taken various courses to expand her knowledge, including training in cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR, twilight therapy, neurofeedback and rTMS. In 2019 she became a GZ-psychologist.
